Pamela is my cousin fondly known as Pam. We share many childhood memories with family trips up to Lake Berryessa to see our Grandparents. Grandpa took us fishing and skiing. Grandma did the cooking. How can someone fry up canned potatoes and make them taste so good? When my cousin Kathy brought her pet monkey, Grandma repeatedly warned us kids to be careful that it might bite, but we thought he was just plain cool. When I think about Pam, I see Aunt Jean in her so much. Life hasn’t always been fair. With her loving family and their faith in Christ has carried her through only to make her stronger. Her color palette is peach, gray, blue and green. Pam, a true inspiration of the power of God.
About this Collection
This is one of many small oil paintings in my series titled ‘Women’. They each represent family, friends and other women who bring inspiration in our daily lives. This project started out as a study for future color palettes for my larger paintings and emerged as little gems. At first when it came time to name each piece, I realized that each had their own personalities and reminded me of individuals that have touched my life in some way.
