Ann

'Ann' 4" x 4" oil painting by Victoria Kloch

‘Ann’ 4″ x 4″ oil painting by Victoria Kloch

Ann, the ninth of the ten children of Barbara.  I spent quite a bit of time with Ann when I was young.  She lived in a world of books. In those days, she found shelter and adventure through the writing of others. Ann and I had our shyness in common, so I thought it would take time before I could get to know her. Instead, it was only a brief time  before we both enjoyed each other’s company. After Mother passed, Ann moved back East where she grew up . Though I haven’t seen her for many years, I know we could pick up where we left off. For you Ann, I give a palette of blue sky and sunshine.

About this Collection

This is one of many small oil paintings in my series titled ‘Women’. They each represent family, friends and other women who bring inspiration in our daily lives. This project started out as a study for future color palettes for my larger paintings and emerged as little gems. At first when it came time to name each piece, I realized that each had their own personalities and reminded me of individuals that have touched my life in some way.
