Patricia, known as Pat, came into my life as a sister-in-law. She was the oldest daughter of the ten children of Barbara. In her youth she drove in the Powder Puff Derby. Pat had a way about her that she always showed interest in those she was talking with. She certainly made me feel special. Her character of leadership and independence stood out to me, but most of all, it was her soft-spoken gentleness when engaged in a conversation. Pat, I celebrate your life with a palette in greens, you are deeply missed by all.
About this Collection
This is one of many small oil paintings in my series titled ‘Women’. They each represent family, friends and other women who bring inspiration in our daily lives. This project started out as a study for future color palettes for my larger paintings and emerged as little gems. At first when it came time to name each piece, I realized that each had their own personalities and reminded me of individuals that have touched my life in some way.
