'Tara' 4" x 4" oil painting abstract by Victoria Kloch

‘Tara’ 4″ x 4″ oil painting abstract by Victoria Kloch

Tara is my first-born daughter and Dawn’s big sister. Tara came into my life when I was only 19. For me the position of parenting was the most important job on the planet. I welcomed this beautiful girl with all of my heart. Still so fresh in my mind, I can close my eyes and feel the life changing moment when she was first placed in my arms. In the 70’s, times were simple and looking back, Tara and I pretty much grew up together. Today she has two daughters of her own and she makes sure that their talents are being nurtured with the same dedication my mother had for me. My girl is sassy, organized and totally devoted to whatever is at hand. This color palette was her choice and inspired me to go bold for my beautiful daughter.

About this Collection

This is one of many small oil paintings in my series titled ‘Women’. They each represent family, friends and other women who bring inspiration in our daily lives. This project started out as a study for future color palettes for my larger paintings and emerged as little gems. At first when it came time to name each piece, I realized that each had their own personalities and reminded me of individuals that have touched my life in some way.
