Samantha is my great-niece, Gerry’s granddaughter. She is the darling of the Homan clan. Scholastically she has always been an overachiever along with being an accomplished pianist. Her latest success was getting a drivers license so she can drive her brand new car. This young woman is going places. She has been accepted by the admissions committee of Pittsburgh Technical Institute to study Graphic Design. This bright-eyed beauty loves color so her palette is a lively one. Sam your future looks bright, go get it.
About this Collection
This is one of many small oil paintings in my series titled ‘Women’. They each represent family, friends and other women who bring inspiration in our daily lives. This project started out as a study for future color palettes for my larger paintings and emerged as little gems. At first when it came time to name each piece, I realized that each had their own personalities and reminded me of individuals that have touched my life in some way.
