This is a DIY story behind my series of ink washes. I love the black ink against the natural white watercolor paper. I felt that having my own chop stamp in red would be the icing on the cake. So I set out to order one on-line. The personalized stamp was to come from China. Well, I waited and I waited. It never arrived. My Kurt knew how important it was for me to see this project through to completion with this one small red embellishment. He set the wheels in motion and he made one just for me. My personal chop stamp has become the most meaningful part of this work of ink washes. I doubt that anyone on the planet has one made of industrial aluminum and it is as modern as you can possibly get. He carved a symbol for the meaning of my name which stands for Victory, and there you have it. It is true, all good things come for those who wait.
